A fifteen-year-old villa requiring a complete internal refresh, kitchen relocation, bathroom rebuilds and treatment of persistent basement dampness.
Scope of work
Condition survey, controlled demolition, replumbing, rewiring, basement waterproofing, new interiors and external painting.
Challenges on this project
The basement dampness turned out to be a failed external drain rather than groundwater, which meant the problem could be solved from outside at a fraction of the cost of internal tanking.
Outcome
Basement has remained dry through two monsoons since completion.
